I have been living in Brussels with my family since 2004 and the city is now my home.  Since 2016 I work as a guide. Previously, as a political scientist with a doctorate, I taught at universities in Trier and Leuven.

​

In 2023 my first book was published: Monumental: Macht und Architektur in Brüssel. I'm currently writing two more books: Summer forays through Brussels and Brussels: Portrait of a European City.

​

And since I can't seem to get enough of Brussels, I've also decided to walk every street in the city. I have now walked over 1,900 km through Brussels on over 390 walks.
